Any coding agent, editor extension or desktop client that lets you set a custom base URL can use FlyRouter. One key lets you switch between Claude, GPT and other models without separate accounts with each vendor.
Supported tools
Claude CodeAnthropic's command-line coding agent, using the Anthropic native protocol.CodexOpenAI's command-line coding agent, using the Responses protocol.OpenCodeAn open-source terminal coding agent that can hold several models at once.CursorThe AI code editor, calling chat models with your own key.ClineA coding agent extension for VS Code.CC-SwitchSwitch Claude Code and Codex providers in one click.Cherry StudioA desktop chat client that supports many models.
Common settings
Most tools need just three things:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Base URL / API address | https://api.flyrouter.ai/v1 for the OpenAI protocol; https://api.flyrouter.ai for the Anthropic protocol |
| API key | The sk-... key you created on the console's API keys page |
| Model | A model ID such as claude-sonnet-5-5 or gpt-6.1-sol; see model pricing for the full list |
Create a separate key with a spending limit for each tool. Usage is tracked per tool, and a leaked key can't cost you much.
Tools not listed here
If a tool supports "OpenAI compatible" or a custom OpenAI base URL, fill in the settings above. If it supports "Anthropic" with a custom address, use https://api.flyrouter.ai (without /v1). Test with a simple question after setup; a 404 almost always means /v1 is in the wrong place.
